The GP of F1 of Spain 2024 has ended but it leaves behind, especially at Ferrari, a shadow of restlessness and bitterness that seems to undermine that spirit of team unity that the presence of Frédéric Vasseur seemed to have brought about.
In addition to the performance on the track, it is also the relationship between the two Red team drivers that is showing signs of deterioration. An overtaking on the track, a more aggressive sporting attitude, two wheels touching each other are enough to get Charles Leclerc on edge. Which led the two to address the issue as soon as they got out of the cars.
The exchange between the two, however, was not enough to calm the irritation of the Monegasque who, having arrived in Mixed Zone, he didn't disdain throwing a few digs at his teammate, believing that his attitude on the track was the result of a desire to show off rather than being driven by a pure sporting spirit.
Sainz's reply did not take long to arrive, justifying his action by teasing Leclerc about his performance on the track.
The Team Principal takes care of silencing, at least publicly, the controversies by dampening the scope of the episode that triggered the squabble. Who knows if he will have managed to restore harmony between the two drivers so that they work in synergy for the good of the team.
