F1 News 7/4 – Here is the flurry of news published today, Sunday 7 April 2024, by the editorial team of Formulacritica.
Race Sunday, Sunday of old habits. Like Red Bull winning by a landslide with their third double of the season. Ferrari confirms itself as second force, halving the gap compared to last year but still remaining as distant as McLaren was which in Suzuka, six months ago, caught the same gap who today accused Carlos Sainz.
If Verstappen goes back to being a cannibal, Sainz confirms himself as the strong man in Ferrari. Even if Leclerc is the MVP of the day with a great comeback and one stint on medium tires which reminded us of the best Prost.
Mercedes sinks after Friday's illusions. This is nothing new either.
Helmut Marko dresses up as a psychologist and in the meantime we look forward to the Chinese GP which will take place in two weeks.

- The best Sainz ever? The one without a seat. Carlos Sainz started 2024 with a bang: fast, precise, flawless. Victorious. Benefits that depend on the lack of a contract?
