Spanish F1 GP: times and TV 2024 edition

Here is all the information you need to not miss a single minute of programming for the 2024 F1 Spanish Grand Prix

GP Spain 2024 times and TV. After Canada's extra-continental sortie, F1 "splashes" into Europe for a series of stages that will accompany us until the summer break and beyond. The tenth “station” of World Championship 2024 it takes place on a track that is now a great classic of the world championship Circus but which in two years will have to give way to the new Madrid facility.

The Barcelona-Catalonia circuit is located in Montmeló, twenty kilometers north-east of Barcelona. The facility was inaugurated in view of the 1992 Olympic Games and since 1991 it has been the venue for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix currently organized by the RACC (Real Automovil Club de Cataluña).

Given its technical characteristics, it was the site of winter tests for years and is still considered a very severe test bed to evaluate the effectiveness of a single-seater.

The track lends itself to different configurations, that of the Grand Prix is equal to 4,657. It is covered clockwise for sixty-five laps of the race. The total distance is approximately 307 km.

The track is characterized by a 1,047-long starting straight at the end of which the speed reaches 320 km/h. A relatively slow speed considering the length. This comes from the high aerodynamic load required to maximize performance in other sectors.

The track has undergone many changes over the years. The last ones are worth remembering. In 2021 the tenth corner, La Caixa, is widened at the exit. The new configuration recalls the one previously used between 1991 and 2003.

The most massive change will be in 2023: the variant introduced in the 2007 season to reduce the speed at the last corner is removed. The layout of the third sector returns to the original one of 1991.

The absolute circuit record is 1'12"272 set by Max Verstappen on Red Bull in qualifying for the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix.
