Important news at today's meeting F1 Commission. At issue were topics including the format for Sprint weekends for the 2024 season and beyond, following options presented by the Sports Advisory Committee.

F1: Sprint 2024 format
Following the previous support from the Formula One Commission For an update on the Sprint weekend, there has been an agreement for a rearrangement of the sessions during the Sprint weekend with Free Practice 1 and Sprint Qualifying taking place on Friday, Sprint qualifying and Grand Prix on Saturday and Grand Prix the Sunday. Regulatory refinements for these changes will be submitted to World Motorsport Council (WMSC) on February 28.

F1: updates to the Technical and Sporting Regulations
A proposal has been agreed upon for increase Power Unit allocation to four per driver for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
The activation of DRS for the race will be brought forward one lap instead of two laps after the start of the race or the restart following one Safety Car.
The group discussed a number of topics related to Regulation 2026, particularly financial and sustainability issues. Other minor updates to the 2024 Technical, Sporting and Financial Regulations have been approved by the Commission.
