Big maneuvers at Alpine. After the arrival of Flavio Briatore, the last piece of a messy puzzle that is slowly being completed, it will be the turn to define the lineup pilots 2026. With Esteban Ocon officially jubilated after the Munich events, Pierre Gasly remains in the running to occupy one of the two seats. And the other?
Today it emerged the interest of the French in Carlos Sainz. But this is not the only news of the day. Mick Schumacher, this is the news, will test a current generation Formula 1 car at Circuit Paul Ricard next week, when he will get behind the wheel of a 2022 Alpine A522 single-seater.

The name of the German pilot is not new (we talked about it in mid-May) but his prices had dropped in recent times so much so that there was talk of emigrating to IndyCar. The scheduled test puts the son of the Ferrari legend (and not only) back in the running for a Formula One seat. The German will drive an Alpine ground effect car for the first time after testing the Mercedes in reference to Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
Mick will be joined on track by Jack Doohan which is part of the Alpine Academy. The Australian appears to be a strong candidate for the 2025 seat, but the introduction of Schumacher could cause the Losanga leaders to review their plans.
Together with Doohan and Schumacher, it is believed that also Valtteri Bottas is in the running. Alpine, therefore, browse its daisy because it may need two drivers if Pierre Gasly decides to leave the team.
