British GP 2024 times and TV. Together with the Italian GP, the British GP is a race that has always been present in the Formula 1 world championship. The event takes place on the Silverstone circuit located a short distance from the village of the same name which is located in the county of Northamptonshire, in England. It was on this circuit that the first race of the racing world championship was held on 13 May 1950. Formula 1. It is the historic home of the British Grand Prix.
The length of the track is 5891 meters for a total of 18 curves (10 right, 8 left). 52 laps to complete the Grand Prix for a total of 306.198 km. Despite the numerous changes that have taken place over time, Silverstone has retained its identity as a high-speed track. A characteristic guaranteed above all by the presence of straights such as the starting one, the extension before turn 6 and the Hangar Straight.
The most iconic part of the track is certainly the one relating to the Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel section, a series of medium-fast corners in which the lateral forces reach very high levels which put a lot of stress on the tires.
At Silverstone the drivers operate the gearbox a total of 1560 times in the race. 30 changes per lap. The drivers travel with full throttle for the 76% of the lap. The English track represents a complete test as it requires great competitiveness of the car in all areas.
The rapid changes in direction of the Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel section, along with the other high-speed corners of the track, require a responsive and precise front end when cornering. Other longer bends, however, such as Stowe (turn 15) or Brooklands (turn 6), require a stable car when traveling. A challenging path, in short, which does not forgive deficient projects.
